Sleeping eight people, this luxury, self-catering holiday home is a true Cornish sanctuary – whether enjoying a few relaxing sundowners on the deck with friends in the summertime or snuggling up by the fireside with family over the winter months. The buzz of city life will feel like a distant memory as you settle into the calm and carefree ambiance of this secluded Cornish haven.

Step Inside

Elegantly furnished, with oak floors and maritime touches throughout, High Bank is a single-level holiday home that enjoys stunning estuary views from its elevated site. In the light-filled, open-plan kitchen and dining area, it’s easy to lose track of time as you watch the yachts and sea birds glide past over a lazy breakfast.

The timeless shaker kitchen is equipped with everything you need to feel at home – from a coffee machine to eco-friendly kitchen essentials. So, make yourself a fresh coffee, grab a newspaper and let yourself melt into the sofa.

Just around the corner from the kitchen lies the welcoming lounge area. The eye is drawn to a central log burner that has a well-stocked log basket alongside from November to March. So, you can warm the cockles with a roaring fire when you return from an invigorating winter walk.

Additional touches like a bookcase full of games and books, a fluffy sheepskin rug, and plump nautical-themed cushions also add to the homely ambiance.

With 2 master bedrooms, one of which is en suite, a pair of twin bedrooms, and a plush family bathroom, High Bank comfortably sleeps eight and promises a blissful night’s sleep under luxuriously crisp linens. Calming grey and white walls are paired with colourful throws and beach-inspired artwork, making this luxury Cornish cottage a delightful place to wake up.

Step Outside

Clad in a soft shade of duck egg blue, High Bank has a charming beach house aesthetic, that perfectly complements its seaside setting.

Whitewashed walls surround the attractively landscaped garden that features a grassy area for acrobatic children or those who love a springy lawn between their toes!

Borders have been planted with exotic vegetation that thrives in the warm climes of The Roseland. Think rustling Cornish palms, pom-pom alliums, vibrant agapanthus, and delicate roses. Not forgetting the aromatic herb garden where cooking enthusiasts can handpick a sprig for their culinary creations.

French doors lead out onto a smart paved terrace and a spacious deck – that fittingly suits the nautical vibe of this home. About St Mawes & The Roseland
Just a short 5-minute amble from the town centre and a 5–10-minute stroll to the beaches, High Bank sits in an enviable St Mawes location.

As a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Roseland peninsula in South Cornwall is revered for its breathtaking coastal scenery. Enjoying a unique microclimate, The Roseland benefits from exceptionally mild temperatures and attracts walkers, beach lovers, and water sport fans alike.

This quiet area of Cornwall measures just ten miles long by three miles at its widest, yet despite its small size, is packed full of idyllic rural villages, quintessentially English countryside, sensational Cornish beaches – and even a historic castle.

St Mawes lies at the southern end of the peninsula and is the largest village in The Roseland. Benefitting from three gorgeous beaches, this sought-after village draws visitors year after year. Almost entirely surrounded by water, with the Fal Estuary to its West and the Percuil River to its East, The Roseland makes a glorious spot for wild swimming (and indeed many other water-based activities!) in its crystal-clear waters.

After a dreamy beach session, why not have a wander around the boutique shops and galleries in St Mawes? Or call into one of the popular eateries for a delicious fresh crab sandwich or a Cornish cream tea smothered with jam and clotted cream.

At the end of the day – retreat to the deck at High Bank with a G&T in hand to watch the sun go down and the moon rise. Cornish living at its best.
